1. Who we are
PortFly is a macOS menu bar app that shows which process is listening on each local port and lets you stop it. It is built and sold by an independent developer (“PortFly”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, buying or using PortFly you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You need an account to buy PortFly and to unlock the app. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and give accurate information. You are responsible for what happens under your account. A purchase belongs to the account it was made with.
3. Price and payment
PortFly costs $5.99 USD, paid once. There is no subscription, no renewal and no recurring charge. Local taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you are.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as our Merchant of Record. Dodo Payments handles the checkout, your payment details, invoicing and sales tax, and its own terms apply to the transaction. We never see or store your card details.
4. Your license
Once your payment is confirmed you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use PortFly on a Mac signed in to your account. One Mac can be signed in at a time; signing in on another Mac signs the previous one out. The license includes the updates we publish for PortFly through the app’s built-in updater.
You may not:
- resell, share or sublicense your account or license;
- bypass the purchase check or any other access control in the app;
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it regardless of this restriction.
5. Refunds and cancellation
You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Because PortFly is a one-time purchase there is nothing to cancel. The details are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
6. Using PortFly responsibly
PortFly can stop processes on your Mac. It asks before it force quits anything and checks that it is signalling the process you chose, but you are responsible for what you choose to stop. Stopping a process can end unsaved work in that process.
7. Availability and changes
PortFly needs macOS 26 or later. We may improve, change or retire features over time, and we will try to give notice on this site before removing anything significant.
8. Ending your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing a license or getting around the purchase check. A full refund removes access to the paid app.
9. Warranty and liability
PortFly is provided “as is”. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise it will be free of errors or fit every purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for PortFly. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant we will say so on this site before it takes effect. Continuing to use PortFly after that means you accept the new terms.
